HP Compaq Presario - Review

Among the HP Compaq Presario trio, the HP Compaq Presario CQ60 holds the distinction of being the top gun of the series. The HP Compaq Presario CQ60 is the only unit in the series that is loaded with a dedicated graphics processor in 256 MB Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS. With this graphics support, the CQ60 could render better graphics than its siblings.
It also sports the largest screen in the series, having a 16-inch LCD. Its smaller brothers, the CQ20 and the CQ40, have 12.1 and 14 inches displays, respectively. Because the HP Compaq Presario CQ60 is part of a series, its specs are quite similar to its little siblings. All Presarios are powered by the Intel Centrino P7350 Core 2 Duo at 2 GHz and backed by 2 GB of random access memory. With these specs, multi-tasking could be a cinch, especially with the CQ60 loaded with an integrated graphics. This laptop could hold up to 250 GB of digital files, giving its user ample space to store those HD movies, games and even music.
With this large space, one may not have to worry about burning files on a CD. The HP CQ60 is also coupled with an optical drive, so one may watch his favorite DVD on this unit. And if one gets bored watching on the CQ60's 16-inch screen, he may connect the unit to an external HD monitor via its HDMI port. In terms of connectivity, the laptop does not lose out. It is stacked with three USB ports as well as Bluetooth, Infrared and a 56 kbps modem. The laptop could also operate Wireless local area networks under the 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n standards. The laptop is also loaded with a Web cam, and an ExpressCard slot, in case one needs more disk space for storage. Since the HP Compaq Presario CQ60 is largest in the series, it is also the heaviest at 2.75 kilograms - which is, however, still light enough to carry around.

PROS Since the laptop is loaded with a dedicated video processor, it renders graphics better than its brothers. Since graphics processing does not anymore eats up memory from the processor, rendering videos becomes better. Playing some light games is allowable in the HP Compaq Presario CQ60, but not heavy ones. The laptop also offers a good processing combo with the its 2 GHz Core 2 Duo and 2 GB of RAM support.
CONS The HP Compaq Presario CQ60 does not have enough graphics memory to support hardcore games. This laptop, however, is not made for playing games.
