Acer Travelmate Series

Compared to other business notebooks from other brands, Acer's Travelmate Series has quite a long lineup that's composed of more than ten models.
The common thread among all the laptops in the series is the use of integrated graphics cards, which are meant for business use. Hence, this series is not intended to be used for intense gaming since it simply doesn't have the graphics for it. Those who are searching for a laptop that could process 3D graphics are advised to go somewhere else.
As a business laptop, data security is a priority. The Travelmate notebooks have fingerprint readers that ensure that files, especially proprietary data, are kept from getting leaked. Aside from that, there is also the Disk Anti-Shock Protection software that shuts down the notebook as soon as it detects that it is in freefall. The purpose is to avoid data loss, which every business dreads.
In this review, the focus will be on the laptops listed as belonging to the huge Travelmate family on its company website. Under each named notebook will be its information that include an overview, specs, and strengths and shortcomings.
Travelmate 5530
The Travelmate 5530 is one of the few notebooks on the series that use AMD processors. Buyers choose between the Turion and the Athlon dual-core processors, both of which are known to support multitasking.
A glaring weakness of the 5530 is its 2.5-hour battery life.

Powerful it may be but this still doesn't mean that the Travelmate 6593 can be used for heavy games since it only has an integrated 4500MHD Intel graphics media accelerator.

The 6493 is similar to the 6593 in many ways but they differ when it comes to the display screen. The Travelmate 6493 has a display screen that has a size of 14.1 inches. However, its resolution is more than sufficient to make up for its screen size. The 6493 also has an output of up to 1280x800 pixels, allowing the user to have many windows placed beside each other in multitasking.

The Travelmate 6293 has a 7-hour battery life and 4.7-pound weight, making it very convenient to bring around. The 6293 has a webcam installed, allowing for impromptu video conferences. Performance is top-notch due to its Core2Duo processor, large memory capacity, and hard drive capacity. Its screen size is 12.1 inches, which may be a tad too small for some users.
